I’m a Specialist General and Laparoscopic Surgeon based in the beautiful Redland Coast region of South East Queensland. I operate across a number of hospitals including, Mater Redland Hospital, Mater South Brisbane, The Prince Charles Hospital, and Sunnybank Private Hospital. Working and living in the Brisbane Bayside region, I offer patients world class surgery in three major disciplines:

Born and raised in Toowoomba, Queensland I studied my undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science at Griffith University. I went on to study medicine at the Australian National University in Canberra, graduating with the prestigious honour of the Guan Chong Prize in Surgery. I am a strong advocate for collegiate practice. I enjoy leadership roles and champion new technology, innovative healthcare solutions and have a special interest in Quality Improvement.

I am a publicly appointed surgeon at the Prince Charles Hospital, Chermside, where I provide specialist general, colorectal and endoscopic surgery.

I undertook my early training in Townsville and further specialty training in General Surgery with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Brisbane, Logan, Sunshine Coast and Far North Queensland.

I was awarded the coveted Neville Davis Prize for Research and the Princess Alexandra Hospital Research Prize in the area of Colorectal Cancer research.

I undertook post fellowship training in General, Laparoscopic and Colorectal Surgery at QEII Hospital in Brisbane. I’m a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and member of General Surgeons Australia and an Associate Fellow of the College of Surgeons America.

Senior Lecturer with Griffith University and Lecturer with the University of Queensland

I’m a current Instructor with Royal Australasian College Surgeons in the Care of Critically Ill Surgical Patient and ANZ Surgical Skills Course.

I maintain public appointments in Metro South for Queensland Health as a specialist general and emergency care surgeon in the Logan Acute Surgical Unit. A Visiting Specialist at Redland Hospital and a resident of the Bayside region. I see private patients at the Mater Hospital Redland and I am passionate about caring for residents of the Redland Coast. I treat a broad spectrum of surgical illness with surgical interests in emergency surgery, colorectal and perianal conditions, gallbladder and hernia surgery.
